    Professor John L. Esposito

    John L. Esposito is a Professor of Religion and International Affairs at Georgetown University, he is also the Founding Director of the Alwaleed Centre for Muslim-Christian Understanding. He had previously served as Loyola Professor of Middle East Studies, College of the Holy Cross as well as being the Past President of the American Academy of Religion and Middle East Studies Association of North America.

    Esposito’s contributions have been widely recognised, and he is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the American Academy of Religion’s Martin E. Marty Award for the Public Understanding of Religion, Pakistan’s Quaid-i-Azam Award for Outstanding Contributions in Islamic Studies, Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, as well as several honorary doctorates.

    Farooq Murad

    Farooq Murad is son of late Ustaz Khuram Murad. He has worked as a management and training consultant, and developed community regeneration solutions in the fields of education, training and employment. He has also delivered community and cross-cultural training programmes for government departments and the voluntary sector. From 2010 to 2014 he was the Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain, chairman of Muslim Aid (2004-08) and President of the Islamic Society of Britain (1998-2000).
